It's a legitimate maneuver in two situations. Either Telemachus had just ran out of fuel or he just had his engine taken out.

Was a stall that bad of a move in this case? He was doing a 3 (as we know). I accept the scenerios explained-but I admit I never considered them. I assumed he was alright and stalled for the turn. Not too stupid on a normal basis. Then again, I AM dead.
