For all the statistics, except the no. of games played is meaningful. All other figures didn't means anything to me , althought sometimes I will still quite regrets of my 1xx ranking ...

I gave up chasing statistics long, long ago (not in a galaxy far far away though) but I think it's good to give things for people to aspire to. It might keep some new pilots interested at the beginning and stop them from walking away as there's something for them to aim for.
With a 5 star ranking system, there's no need to have a Number 1 pilot - you could have 50 pilots rated 5 stars, and only then have reputation to know which one of those 50 piltos is the most dangerous it's a way of recognising and showing skill in a simple way.
I certainly wouldn't be a 5 star pilot, but wouldn't it be nice to be classed as a "3* veteran pilot" or "4* star ace" instead of number 453 on a list that isn't that reliable anyway?
I might be talking complete nonsense but I think it would be a nice idea.
