Nick, et al:
Check this out. A plane in the following game became an automover and subsequently moved off the game board. Eventually, the side the automover was on prevailed in the game and was awarded the victory.

Cheers for the other teammates they must be good to win a game while dragging a teammate along.
I understand your point but I think you're over reacting.
As you state They scored -1 league point for being on the losing side. I think that is fair enough. Why should a team that's not able to win even against a team with automovers be awarded league points?
Moreover, an automover on the losing side was not penalized for moving off of the wrong side of the game map, retiring "dishonorably," and received Zero Game Points, instead of losing a game point for improperly retiring.
I agree on this. There should be a penalty for this. To keep it simple a kill could be awarded for clearing the skies to the opposing team.
Does not seem fair that an automover gets more "Game Points," or fails to lose a point for improperly retiring, than a pilot who flies until they get shot down or the game ends.
Automovers should not score any + points during their automove turn
Accordingly, I think that the Game Points Awarded in League play should be modified in some fashion to account for automovers.

1st of all we should clearly differentiate
between "league points" and " Game points"
Such as, if a League Game ends, and a pilot is considered an automover at the end of that game, that pilot is, by default, given Zero Game Points, even if earlier in the game they shot down opponent(s), were on the winning side, etc., or -1 Game Points if they were in fact shot down at some point during that game.
You're to harsh I think. Automove is a good tool to keep the game going. These game sometimes take a few weeks to finish and sometimes Real Life keeps people from playing a turn or two. Like I said before Automovers should not score any + points during their automove-turns.
Also, a plane that does not retire "honorably," whether automoving or not, should be treated as if they were shot down for Game Point purposes and given a -1 for that game.
A little harsh also as the limited playing area will force players off-map. But can be avoided by playing large map games only and staying away from the edge so it would be annoying but acceptable to me.
I am merely trying to defend the opposing pilots who fought and should not have the indignity of seeing an automover get three points while they get -1 points. M
I feel there is more indignity in not being able to shoot down the autopilot so the -1 pint is fine with me.
just my two eurocents.
