I save my rants for two types of gamers slow movers in games marked "fast movers only" People that exit the board when they've "been shot up gotta go" until you can feel the bullets via the web? I see no reason to leave a game (other than motor/fuel) ever
How about this- you're flying a one-gunner and you pull the gun damaged chit. You aren't doing anyone but your opponents any good.
Although... I would be willing to listen to well reasoned and adult arguments as to why you should stay.
Let me make this clear- I'm not attacking you or jerking your chain. I just feel that an inability to fight offensively is an okay reason to leave.
If you feel otherwise, I really am interested to hear your logic. Being somewhat of a newcomer here, I am sadly deficient in many of the "assumed" rules of chivalry. On top of that, it is almost impossible to get one of you long-term players to state what you consider honorable, and why.
I often feel that I've violated some unspoken rule. I greatly admire many of the senior players, and I wish to fly like them, and with them.
However, if no one tells me when I have offended, I will keep making the same uncouth mistakes.
Let me also make this clear- I have accepted that I am not smart enough or observant enough to figure out proper etiquette just from watching my betters.
Like any puppy, I must be trained in order to be housebroken.
If you are a senior player, please don't take offence. But please do let us know when we err. Speaking for myself, I much appreciate a quick "Don't do such-and-so for this-and=that reason." If I fail to take heed, please feel free to cook until well-done on these boards.
Thanks- Dave/Mjolnir |
