1. Sopwith Snipe 2. SS D III/IV What's good for: looking tough and scary, being left alone What's OK for: dogfighting What's bad of: building up a good reputation as a fair player
Agree
3. Bristol F.2B What's good for: hangin' around leisurely while poor helpless sods fire peanuts at you and you fire leisurely at them from both ends What's OK for: stayin' alive What's bad for: being useful when both escort and interceptors are runners, thinking you're invulnerable
Positively Agree
4. Fokker D VII What's good for: hit and run, being scary, laughing at "no speed 3/4" spec, finding yourself as a sitting duck What's OK for: dogfighting What's bad for: chasing and/or fleeing,
DVII is a very deadly plane, completely agree
5. Albatros D Va What's good for: taking it when all better planes are already taken, playing "toreador" against better crates What's OK for: almost everything What's bad for: being cool
6. SE 5a What's good for: being a dull flyer but a good hitter, chasing those nimble-tanked germans What's OK for: dogfighting hard What's bad for: furballs, engine damage
Not so agree with the ranking. If you see the ranking for Jun 17 - New Models - 4 players , http://www.youplay.it/play/bm_Stats.asp?ID=ED10040 You will understand.
7. Nieuport 28 What's good for: looking fancy, playing even with germans in terms of fuel What's OK for: working on the sides and staying quite out of trouble What's bad for: hard dogfights
DIIIa is better then N28, see this http://www.youplay.it/play/bm_Stats.asp?ID=ED10350
8. Pfalz D IIIa What's good for: fighting runners on even terms, being a better Dr.1 What's OK for: doghfighting dancers What's bad for: engine damaged
9. Halberstadt CL IIa What's good for: being a flying target What's OK for: being escorted by DIII and DIIIa What's bad for: pretending to be on a Bristifit
Don't underestimate Halberstadt, I don't have statistic figures, but the stability B penalty shouldn't put this plane at Place 9, I think 7 is better, but statistic is not enough for this...
10. SPAD XIII What's good for: zooming around like a perfect idiot, wasting fuel What's OK for: being a sidekick What's bad for: hurting others
11. Pfalz D XII What's good for: chasing that darn allied at last, being the last with fuel being a german notwithstanding What's OK for: giving and taking damage What's bad for: furballs
12. Albatros D III What's good for: wiping those poor Ni17 out, trying uselessly to chase SPAD VIIs What's OK for: doghfigting hard What's bad for: teaming with DVa
13. Sopwith Triplane What's good for: breakdancing in the middle of the map, furballing with no harm meant What's OK for: furballs What's bad for: taking bullets
14. Fokker Dr I What's good for: being cool, dogfigting english crap dancers What's OK for: filling the gaps in squadrons What's bad for: dogfighting everything else
Tripalne and Dr I is better the DIII, see this http://www.youplay.it/play/bm_Stats.asp?ID=ED10020
15. Sopwith Camel What's good for: having a predictable tailing, playing snoopy, being the last plane to be chosen in scenarios What's OK for: turning right What's bad for: everything else, playing Roy Brown
I don't want to say this but the statistic shown up ....
http://www.youplay.it/play/bm_Stats.asp?ID=ED11900 http://www.youplay.it/play/bm_Stats.asp?ID=ED10500 http://www.youplay.it/play/bm_Stats.asp?ID=ED10750 should be revenge with it
16. Spad VII
What's good for: fleeing from DIIIs, staying out of trouble in early war scenarios What's OK for: looking a romantic asshole What's bad for: air war
17. Nieuport 17 / SS D I What's good for: dogfighting each other What's OK for: trying not to be shot down What's bad for: shoot down others
From historical notes, these plane is not as bad as this, but the current game system really unfavor these old planes.
