Answer your question in two parts.
1. The someday would be definitely "someday" as altitude is definitely not a prioirty.
2. As in the Board game version, the plane would be indicated as VH (very high) H, M , L, VL
If that would be adopted online, I would think this would be a possible way to do so, definitely there are other's way to do so.
