These faults have been in existence since I arrived a few years ago and nothing has ever been done to resolve them.
JAMMED GUNS How often during a game do you line up an opponent and then after you should have fired you discover that your guns are jammed? I'm getting this in one in three games. Meaning probably 2% of the times I fire. May not be many but it shows there is a problem. No warning message just the jammed result.
CHITS Repeat chits are a major problem. I repeatedly get three or four repeat chits in the same turn when there should only be one in each game turn. This has been repeatedly reported yet still it goes on.
DICE About as random as the chits. In the Big Planes Race after the first three games I predict the winner with an 80% success rate. I'm good but not that good. I have now learnt that when I have a run of bad dice I log off and leave it for twenty four hours before continuing my games. Doesn't always work but does sometimes. There has always been a problem with the dice that has always been ignored as programmers ignore the ghost in the machine and believe their own ideas. People, the dice are broken and need to be fixed.
Finally, I'll donate when this site works properly. The owner has stated that there is no development owing to copyright questions, then I get a half page message asking for money. I don't know about others but I don't pay for something that is broken and I never pay for something that is broken when the owner says that he isn't going to fix it. Get a grip people.
Develop the site. Repair the bugs. Then ask for money or the second word used will be "off"
And don't start the crap about needing money for development. I work in education and know colleges and universities scream for real live projects for their students to work on. You could get all the repairs and development of this site you could ever want, for free.
Thanks GG for your comment. Hm... my last statement from Jim is that we are in a kind of business discussion with the legal/business team from BlueMax.
The negotiation is still under place that we are kind of reluctant to further develop the site. It doesn't mean there is a code freeze for the site, but from a site management point of view we need to be crystal clear from the copyright perspective before we modify the code.
Be frank, I would prefer re-write the code from scratch for the site
I will keep you all post of this.
cheers,
