Do you ever see pokerguy and Mongoose in the same "Open to public" game? I have not so this is not a problem we need to deal with here.
GraysGhost was proposing to have a private event that involve clones / alter-egos. If you (and others) are not into this kind of thing, just stay out of the thread as opposed to hijacking it. How do we know that other players are not sending each other emails (or other instant messages) before they make their moves.
So your response to concerns is to tell people to shut up and deal with it? Nice.
In any event, this is not a hijack. This is not a private event as you used a public forum to talk about it. Players with multiple accounts is a concern for all players here. Trying to hide them in the back room doesn't make it look any better.
This should all be public knowledge and discussed in public.
Again, I didn't accuse anyone of wrong doing. What I am saying is that condoning this sort of behavior is a slippery slope. Not only that but it breeds distrust.
If people need another account for a campaign sort of situation, then fine. But do not keep using that account for regular games. I honestly cannot fathom why someone would want to play public games on more than one account.
In any case, those who have these sorts of set up should make it known to all. It shouldn't be "oh we all know who has them cause there are 5 of us who know so we assume everyone knows". Let's be adults here. |
