In this case, those involved will identify the alter-ego when the game starts. We all know pokerguy = Mongoose, imdog = [few others], etc. However none of us ever see pokerguy and Mongoose in the same game or league.
This whole thread and this post in particular are quite troubling to me. The whole notion of multiple accounts is suspect to me.
No, "we all" do NOT know those accounts are from the same people. Where would I know such information from? there is no pub we all hang out in. I only check the forum on occasion. What about new players? You are setting up a set of people that know some are playing fast with the integrity of the game that know each other and those who do not.
Is there a place where I can get this information from? Can we get an announcement that it is encouraged and condoned from the admins?
Personally I do not understand this behavior whether there is indiscretion or not. Why not own all your numbers? Why would you actually need two accounts if not to play under two names? This behavior flies in the face of honest behavior and integrity whether it's being used for dishonest purposes or not.
Further, participating in such behavior and announcing it on the forum encourages it for both good and bad. I would ask the game veterans to consider and reconsider what they are up to here.
Is it really that hard to play one account and just be who you are?
in the same "Open to public" game? I have not so this is not a problem we need to deal with here.
that involve clones / alter-egos. If you (and others) are not into this kind of thing, just stay out of the thread as opposed to hijacking it. How do we know that other players are not sending each other emails (or other instant messages) before they make their moves.
