personally i try to avoid doing it, but if i am never going to get home then i will choose to 'bail out in enemy territory' and sacrifice the points to avoid being shot down.
Forced means that due to special damage your only allowed moves leads you outside the map.
All the rest is unforced.
I found it highly unsporty to exit from the wrong side since it was not allowed in the original boardgame.
There you couldn't exit from the side of the map since it was scrolling and you were forbidden to exit from the enemy side.
Moreover I do not care at all about points and game winners, only about kills and deaths, and I have been shoot down a lot of time since fuel or engineless I tried to exit from my side. On the other hand I missed a lot of kills chasing engineless people exiting from the wrong side
So I do not appreciate this attitude
P.S. In many tournaments wrong exit has been exactly counted as a death.
