Hi to all,
I've noted that, mainly in leagues, it has started to be the usage to retire without honor a little bit too often.
I've no problem in admiting that, from time to time, often not to give to someone the satisfaction to shoot me down, or when it is the decisive point to win the league, I can commit a retirement without honor, but I usually avoid it and it has a reason.
For sure I try to avoid the situation to run out of fuel far away from my exit side. I don't find it historic nor fair.
These are my 2 cents. I've noticed it as well. In a recent League, there were 2 or 3 exits without honor in many of the games. One pilot had the most wins, most kills, and a close second in game points, but finished 7th (with about half the points of the winner) largely due to bailing out on his teammates.
The thing is, in Leagues it may not be that big a deal. The pilots in question were lousy wingmans in almost all of their games, so they skewed the games fairly evenly. They'd cause a victory for me when I was on the opposing side, but steal a victory from me as a teammate.
For some people, the League statistics don't matter even when they are playing in Leagues. They are still of the individual mentality and focused on their own individual stats on the nostalgia page.
Nothing to get too worked up about in my opinion. |
