I'd like to know if I've broken the game etiquette, because if it's the case I need to apologize:

I'm in a game, the classic Uberplane against mediocre enemies (btw I like a lot this kind of games, because you need to cooperate with your inferior buddies in order to catch the superior enemy), with the also classic 12x10 large map. After a few turns I've pointed to my (german) collegues that we should stay on the right side of the map because otherwise we would have seen our planes shot down when we finish the fuel. My allies have 200/300 games, and our opponent many thousand.

I've been mildly reproached, and I really don't know if this is a violation of the game etiquette. Thank you for any feedback.

Personally I think that kind of 'very general' strategic advice is not a problem - but I talk more than most - and I know quite a lot like to have basic silence whilst flying - otherwise I've seen simple seemingly innocent comments like "I'm off" actually give away enough information that affects the outcome of a particular move/game (and that has mildy annoyed me).

If you want to talk in your games set up a 'boot camp' league and you can talk as much as you want and ask/give advice which has improved my play at least.

Or if you're in a campaign game then this sort of conversation 'before the game starts' but not 'during the game' seems compeltely right - it's a strategic agreement - that would give a 'team approach' rather than a bunch of very skilled individuals.
