Blue Dragon,
Thank you for your work on all this. I like having drifting available as an option, but I understand why some players find it a pain to deal with.
If you are taking inputs, I would eventually like to see full sails, critical hits, and variable shot (ball, chain, double) selections also added in the future.
Just wondering..., how difficult would it be to have a "menu" option in which a player can select which of the advanced rules they want to use (which right now is basically drifting and boarding). As other features are added, is the programming such that you have to build it together as a package, or can some of the rules be easily toggled on and off?
The other input I would have is that there are a handful of scenarios that are not well balanced (like being the French in the Three Countries scenario or the pirates in the Pirates Ambush). Has there been any discussion about modifying the initial setup on some of these games to make them more balanced?
Thanks again!
Ogre
Andy,
My guess as a programmer is "Not too difficult" to have these options. He just need some flags (or bit) to be set when the scenario is created. When the scenario is running, he will need to check to see which blocks of code he needs to run into based on which option is on.
Speaking of scenarios.... There are couple of new ones over at the beta site.
