Message text The scoring in this case is correct. If you go back in the history to turn 7, SteveH has 20 points, which is correct for capturing Amphion, which has a 10 point value for striking. Since she was captured, SteveH properly received double that.
When Amphion later struck her colors, should the English receive points for forcing a ship to surrender which started the battle on their side? No, they should be penalized for losing a ship! Regardless of who shot at whom, the English have lost a ship -- should they benefit from that? That's what would happen if szurla received any points. So even though szurla struck Amphion, she started the battle on his side, so SteveH received the points for striking her instead of capturing her.
