Dear Admirals, finally I've found some spare time to fix some of the many bugs of Wooden Ship. Rule changeI've changed the way points are attributed for a captured ship that is later sinked/forced to surrender. This will change to way the points are scored, but use a much simpler and straightforward logic. The new rule is this: Points for eliminating a captured ship are attributed to the player who is controlling the ship in the turn that is eliminated.
What this mean ?
When you capture a ship, you get twice the points value. When you lose a captured ship (i.e. it is not under your control anymore), you lose the points for the capture. When your captured ship is eliminated, you keep the normal score of the ship, like if you were the player who sinked/force to surrender it.
So, sinking a captured ship will leave the normal striking points (without the capture bonus) to the Coalition who captured it, while the other coalition(s) does not score any point.
Bug fixing I've asked some of you to report the most annoying bugs, and I've fixed them.
A ship that send OBP to another ship and is forced to surrender is the same turn, does not send the OBP anymore and does not capture the ship in the subsequent turn. E.g. http://www.youplay.it/play/ws_GameMove.asp?GameID=538244 A player that remain without ship is not removed from the game anymore. E.g. In this game, Azzarac is completely vanished from the scoring table: http://www.youplay.it/play/ws_GameMove.asp?GameID=538244 Score for a ship that remain without hull, but have extra crew on board is now correctly attributed. E.g. No score where given for Malta: http://www.youplay.it/play/ws_GameMove.asp?GameID=512929&MoveId=33 Is now possible to capture surrendered enemy ship. The TBP is converted in OBP and is treated as a normal OBP-DBP Melee without DBP. The surrendered crew is NOT imprisoned, it is like the ship had 0 crew.
There are other bugs to fix, but I need specific example in order to reproduce the problem and fix it.
Nick.
Thanks, Nick!
We will do some testing to see what we can find!!!
