Ergh, my hard drive is doing the equivalent of being on fire in BM right now - near death. I need to take it to a comp specialist to try to suck the data off of it before he nosedives, but expect my updates to be...sporadic at best for a bit, at least until my computer gets a new HD.
Anyone want some BBQ while this thing is flaming?

Do you have a tail gun? At least the observer can do the shooting while you use the extinguisher!

These days it may be cheaper to buy a new computer than fixing the old beast. That is something to consider after you backup the data from the bad hard disk. You may want to suck the data into a USB stick (or an external drive) and re-install the programs afterward.

Too true. You can buy an external hard drive with a terabyte of memory for around $150 now. That should hold just about anything you can think of.
