Hello,
I have a question:
In game 479942 I have 4 ships left and my opponent only two. However, he is 8 points ahead and I will never be able to catch up.
Why is that?
Can the Spanish win at all?
I am asking because it seems a little out of balance.
Thanks for your help. This is an awesome translation of the board game.

I meant 80 points!

Since this is a standalone Basic rules game, I don't think you can win since you can no longer sail upwind to get him. You may be able to gain a few more points if you sink the Orion, then try to shoot out the other 2 ships. Who knows, maybe your opponent will try to sail downwind to finish you off.
If this is a league game, you could end up declared a looser for the game but win the league points due to % losses rule. Essentially you have more ships afloat than him.
Thanks for your answer, but that's not what I meant. If I add all the points of the English, he should be at 205 or something like that. However, he is at 265. Where do those extra points come from? Even if I sink all of his ships, the points won't add up.
