i am pretty new at this but something occurred to me that i was hoping to get clarification for from the community.
It seems that when im playing highly experienced players- and i am able to get the tail of them, they all of a sudden take days to make a move.
if i havent gotten the tail, it seems that moves are only a day or less.
its happening all too often to be coincidence.
in fact, i am wondering how exactly the timeout for moves works.
i.e. if its more than 5 days since my last move, do i get automatically moved?...even if i have waited for that entire time for my opponent to move?..
example: i make a move and get the tail. My opponent takes the full 5 days and either makes a move at the last minute, or lets it auto move.
in either case, i dont have time to move before its been 5 days since my last move.
do i get auto moved too?
if i do, then i can see that this is a way for someone to get a favourable result after being tailed..or at least improve the chances.
is this how it works?
if it isnt, any comment on why the delays after getting a tailing position? (as i said, it only seems to occur with very experienced players)...
cheers, tim I don't think there is any cheating going on - it can't really benefit your opponent to delay. However, they may be delaying to ensure that others aren't cheating them. When someone gets their tail, they may be waiting for the tailers teammates who do not have his tail, but could benefit from the information, to move before committing to their move to ensure that the tailing information isn't being passed to those who do not deserve it. Just a thought on why this may happen. |
