How come ships without sails (rigging) can still turn?
I am not sure of the time scale of the game but this appears to totally unrealistic. Yes, I am sure they could lower a longboat and pull the ship around. But I doubt very seriously they were gonna be doing this in a combat situation.
Ships without sails (rigging) should be motionless!
