Two things Kit:
First, will never blame you to be an Englishman, as we say in Italy: "Everybody has his problems".
Second, "to be different", in Italian is a way to say to be gay, just to let you know it!
Well in English, to be gay means to be happy and joyful, it is the Americans who have corrupted the word to have another meaning.
I'm English and proud to be happy and joyful, as well as being as mad as a box of frogs.
