I finally got an 18 point shot and remembered this old thread. It happened in a Beauty and the Beast scenario with both planes having their engines shot out. I Guessed correctly on turn 25 gettin a 0 range shot and also tailing info. Turn 26 produced the 18 point shot and a kill.

Wow, an 11, 14, and an 18 in the same game. He was lucky to have made it to the mythical 18 pt shot.
