| Message text Tyree, you make a good point with regard to the automvers. I am not sure if the stats indicate whether a player tends towards automoving or not. I would certainly support any effort that can be made to remove automovers from a game.
For my own part, I don't consult the stat page to check on how good or bad a pilot is before I decide to join a game. I have had my share of unpleasant surprises at the hands of new players as well as my share of pleasant surprises when facing veteran players. I have NO idea how the statistics bear up in these particular instances. I have my own list of who I consider to be capable opponents and once again, I don't have any idea of how they measure up on the stat page.
DeBurke, my understanding of the game is that we are trying to recreate WWI air combat, not statistical analysis. If that is your interest then I stand by my suggestion that perhaps you pursue a career in that field. I don't consider myself to be a particularly weak pilot, nor do I feel as though I have been discriminated against by anyone. I have been playing Blue Max on the game table since it was introduced back in the early 80s, so I think I have a pretty good idea of what the game is trying to portray. I also have a pretty good idea of what is real and what is it not and I don't need you to remind me that we are not REALLY flying Fokkers and Camels and shooting each other down in burning wrecks.
