Looking good marcuza!
I'll have the lineups today for sure. In the last Cup, I allowed squad members not originally assigned to a wing, to serve as replacements if needed. This was allowed so long as they did not fly on another wing. Also, once a pilot flew on a particular wing, they were stuck to that wing for the duration of the cup.
I bring this up now because a couple of times I had guys replace others in subsequent rounds. Real life calls, and the only way to move the tournament forward, was to allow this. I know this creates a little more paperwork, but you might allow this in the event of an emergency.
You might want to examine how the sign up procedure worked last time as well. Just dig up the thread - overall it worked pretty good. If the same team failed to sign up in time, it was a forfeit. I was willing to remake the game once or even twice, if each side failed once to sign up.
I'll have my final lineups this evening.
Thanks for your suggestions.
The only reason for asking the pilots name list is to rank the squadrons at the beginning of the tournament (according to the average k/d ratio of the best three pilots).
Teams will be sorted in equal groups (each group will have a strong, medium/strong, medium/weak and weak team), then the three qualification games will start in the following three weeks (one game each week) so I don't expect any problem.
Once the qualification round are completed and the real cup starts (that means approx two months after the beginning of the tournament), it would be the right time to allow additional squadron members to join, provided obviously they didn't fly for other teams and - most of all - they are registered on Lord Loquax unofficial squadron page!
Concerning the games creation, a team will loose by forfait only if it fails to sign up twice. In case of mistake (wrong side entry) or if both teams fails, game will be created again but will not count in terms of forfait.
