The 2nd series miniatures should be on the way to you right now. They are "on the boat," so to speak.
Fwiw, we have some odd things going on here. Your 2 seater choices will be the Dh4 (which is as fast as your Alb DV) and the Roland Whale, a plane I've always liked but which is really too "early" for the rest of the miniatures in the system.
Nexus has a list of future releases, and maybe late this year (more likely early next) there will be another series, with the N 17 line, Alb D3, plus the Ufag and Re8.
Thank goodness for the Harry Tate, where we will get a 'real' 2 seater that was used a lot and fits with many of our other models.
Ufag 2 seater is an odd plane-- only a few made late in the war, perhaps chosen as the only CP 2 seater with anything like the Dh4s speed.
If you want some 'normal' 2 seater action, look for the 1/144th planes that are available and build some. You can follow the Re8 or Breguet color schemes from "Recon Patrol" if you want to match planes in the system. For the Germans, I'd suggest picking up a "normal" 2 seater that belongs in 1917/1918 skies (there are both Rumpler and Albatros models available) and just use the "generic 2 seater' maneuver deck.
Another option for allied use would be to consider using the generic deck with the Dh4, if you'd like something a bit more ordinary.

On Friday (7th) Andrea Angiolino - WOW designer posted the following to the WOW Yahoo group;
"The ship with the containers with the WWII Squadron Packs and the Series II Minis for the European markets reached yesterday the waters outside the port of Leghorn, in Tuscany, a few dozens kilometers from Nexus Editrice's warehouse.
They landed! Now it's the turn of customs. Shippings toward the European distributors will start at the beginning of next week."
Top marks to Andrea for keeping us informed to this level
I agree with kduke over the slightly odd choice of 2 seaters. I actually use these miniatures for Canvas Eagles with the odd WOW game with my young son. So for me the DH4s will be a good choice - especially against the dreaded Fokker vii. I have recently purchased some F-Toys Spad vii's that are compatable with the the WOW minis and would be a reasonable match for the Roland Whale |
