Message text I can recall almost every one of those games and I played about half of them. Some of them were TRULY awful and some of them were wonderfully innovative.
Back in those days. it seemed that game companies were springing up all over the place, putting out crappy titles and then folding and disappearing into
well deserved oblivion. There were a number of exceptions though, Battleline and Yaquinto to name a few, putting out some really excellent titles.
Games like Ironclads, Panzer, Dauntless, Submarine and a lot of similar games really set the bar for the rest.
At our game group gatherings we routinely haul these old games out of the closet to play them over and over.
For some nice light gaming though, try and get your hands on a copy of Junta. Banana republic power politics at its best. |
