I would pose a further question. When do you think someone will design a good submarine game for the hex sheet ?
Seriously, there were a few games designed way back when. I can also recall how much controversy there was about the validitiy of game data, mechanics, etc., it actually got into something of a pissing contest between several of the designers, Steve Newberg and Joe Balkowski being the two major protagonists. Seems nobody could agree on anything and each derided the other's design to the point where both designers started looking like petulant children arguing over a game of marbles in a school yard.
I would suggest stick with the PC games, like Silent Hunter, if you want to play with subs. Submarine combat is usually a pretty individual affair. |
