The problem actually pertained to the very large number of games anastus has that are active. Even then, he didn't place a priority on the tournament game, it would seem to me. They have played 30 turns in 35 days, so its also unusual no one was caught or shot down to this point. I know with certainty that abe915's was checking this one active game of his, daily.
For future reference, I would suggest a requirement of less active games for being allowed into a tournament. I also think an option for a shorter autoplay feature, is long overdue.
