| Message text I know the designers sometimes chat with us on this forum and I don't know any other way to post this question.
So here goes.
Talk to us about the maneuver chart/rating of the Pfalz D12.
It is a complete duplicate of the SPAD 7 chart, and the same-- except for one maneuver each-- as the Albatros DV and the Se5.
Yet, I've looked all over the web and in 2 reference books and, with remarkable regularity, they all say the P12 has a top speed of 106 mph (about the same, or a trifle slower, than the Albatros DIII). The SPAD 7 is rated 115-119, Albatros D5 rated at 116, and Se5a is 130+.
I realize that there are a lot of variables in all this and just wonder how the D12's rating was achieved.
I'm also looking for how the plane was any sort of "advance" in performance from the Alb. DVs it was replacing in 1918. I know it's a lot sturdier... aside from that...
