The SE5a is definitly not the best allied fighter in my opinion. The Sopwith Snipe is clearly superior to the SE5a. I will even go as far and say the Nieuport 28 is an overall better fighter than the SE5a. I might even a bit further and say the Sopwith Tri-plane is superior to the SE5a.
Anyone wish to debate my argument?
It really depends on the # of planes in the game. In a 1 on 1 any plane without the right - left stall is at a disadvantage. As the number of planes increases the value of flying a SE5a increases. Stalling in an 18 player game is asking for disaster (I know this,...but I just can't stop myself - I love the stall, but it's been the death of me more often than not ). In a large game 'A' stability, 2 guns, high speed turn. and full engine and tail.... no brainer. |
