The result appears to be consistent with the league scoring rules (it maybe not seem sensible, but it is consistent). See http://www.youplay.it/play/tn_Rules.asp#SpcScSys
Neither side was completely destroyed, so it cannot be a Strategic Victory. The percentage loss for each side was not the same (33% vs. 50%), so it can not be a Marginal Victory or a Draw. It must be a Tactical Victory.
Each side lost one aircraft. So, the German side lost 33% of their three aircraft. The Allied side lost 50% of their two aircraft. Therefore the German side won the Tactical Victory.
Each German player got 3 league points for the “Winning side” in the Tactical Victory. Redwom got one extra point for an “Enemy unit destroyed”, one extra point for “Best team player”, and lost one point for “Personal unit lost”.
Each Allied player got 0 league points for the “Defeated side” in the Tactical Victory. Bombadil lost one point for “Personal unit lost”. Ksnake got one extra point for an “Enemy unit destroyed”, and one extra point for “Best team player”.
The numbers work out according to the rules (I’m not arguing for or against the outcome … I’m just doing the math). Your very high flying point total only matters in determining the “Best team player” for your side, and would influence the victory determination only if the game had resulted in a Marginal Victory or a Draw.
One observation does come to mind from reading the “Special scoring system - for team vs. team games”. -- A Marginal Victory or a Draw outcome was possible in this scenario only if either; no aircraft were shot down, or all aircraft on both sides were shot down (in which cases the flying point totals would have been used to determine the outcome, and the Allies would have won). Other than these two situations, for the Allies to win, they must shot down more aircraft than they loose, and have at least one aircraft left on the board. |
