It remembers the Lomcemvak tumbling maneuver ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lomcevak ), but it isn't exactly that. Anyway the Lomcemvak can be performed only by piston aerobatic planes, like the ones in the movie and by the MB.339 jet trainer: the only jet able to do it.
