Yeah I sometimes get that on my iPhone - it sorts itself out after a couple of moves.
You can play on a smartphone? Tried on mine, too small screen, couldn't make head or tail of map.

I play on mine all the time. You can zoom the map as needed easily enough.
The only thing I only thing I haven't figured out how to do is deploy a plane at the beginning of a match in free deployment or area deployment starts.
