in the real world you picked a good time to retire...

you have some serious damage and in a bad tactical position...your quartermaster will be proud of you for bringing your plane back in repairable condition

as far as the game is concerned...you can retire "with honour"
when you have NO engine boxes left...NO fuel boxes left...or NO armament left...in such cases you will be considered still on the board when it comes to determining victory conditions

this is important in league play if you chose to get into that and some players will get very pissed off at you if you retire too early in a game...i am not one of them

will be happy to play you again anytime...practice makes us all better
