| Message text Ever wish you had an undo button the instant after you submitted a move, before you saw the result and before anyone else looked at your move intention (saw what you were doing with a tailing move) ?
I made a non straight move in a game recently - when I had jammed guns, having worked out where someone would probably be - with the initial intent being to find a safe hex to unjam my guns, but having realised where someone would be I moved to shoot that plane down (momentarily forgetting that the guns were jammed) - it would be nice (I thought) if I could undo that before anyone interacted with the information.
now obviously if I was being tailed someone else might have been affected if I changed my move, so you would need to do something to avoid those problems - maybe if there was a generic undo in the first 3 seconds that would work, but in 2 player games (and possibly all games) would need to add a deliberate 4 second delay to the time from the move button being pressed before it was added to the stack of actually accepted instructions.
I did vaguely think about having a generic undo available at any time that you've not seen results (because someone else is yet to move) and are not being tailed (so no one else is affected yet). But that might let you deduce your plane was the one being tailed out of a set of possible enemy targets.
Obviously this cuts down slightly on pilot error which might mean longer games
but I think an 'are you sure' on 'not straight' moves if your guns are jammed might be an option
and an 'are you sure' on something other than the sideslips if you're on fire might work too.
