We could go with the 4 player Stachel one - 2 SE5s vs the DVII and a pfalzIII. I suggest a small map - not the smallest. This scenario is nice for the various strategies one might take to bring the matter to a quick end, or to make fuel a strategic issue.
One thing, not all the Ladies are named Tornade, just one. With this I means that they are not as expert as she is. Isn't it Lord_Biclopse?
For this reason I would use standard rules, since it wouldn't be nice to suddenly leave alone a Lady for a "
Fuel Explosion" or a "
Pilot Killed". For the same reason both sides planes must have an equivalent endurance.
For the same reason, in this first edition, I think we should use scenarios with pair of identical planes. More over the planes must be equivalent, in maneuverability and endurance, so as that we will play on even terms.
For me the best candidates are:
Yankee Doodle Comes to Town - 4 Players with two Nieuport 28 versus two Albatros D.Va
or
High noon (D.XII revenge) with two Spad XIII versus two Pfalz D. XII
The first has more maneuverable planes, but the Nieuport has only 6 boxes of engine, a thing that can be accepted since there is the return match, with inverted sides. In the second, the planes are almost the same under all aspects, but are less maneuverable.
Let me know what do you think about these reflections.
