u buy the game then thats it.

dlcs help with the game but not neccesary.


So I don't have to shell out any $$ for 'extras' that unless I have them, I won't be competitive?


no but if u really like the game there is 1 dlc called admiraly connectoins that cost 10 dollars that might be worth it in the end game but thats it. game is 40 dollars us but you can wait for christmas sale for the price to be cut in half.
