I'ts not so easy. There are several technical problems but, beside that, sending a great number of different images via email could affect the site performance, draining our bandwidth.

But looking now, the only options I see are
"every time it's my turn"
"only if I did not play my turn for more than 24 hours"
"only if I'm losing my turn because I did not play since 30 days"
"never"
So is there an option for notification of the end of any game??
The "you have been shot down" email is sent if you choose at least the "only if I did not play my turn for more than 24 hours" option.
If you choose the first or the second options, you'll receive that email, if you choose the third or the fourth one, you won't receive it.
I know, it's not too clear, but, when that menu was created, it seemed a good idea to have a single choice instead of a multiple choice.
We regret that decision several months after when we had to use the already existing choices to decide if we can send every other kind of emails that could be usefull.
The best thing to do would be to drop the single choice, and go for the multiple choice (inserting the new emails kind too), but currently we have references to a single email allowance value scattered in several parts of the site code, and to change the previous choice to the new one without breaking something else it's not easy at all.
Our To-Do list contains even this task, but we postponed it several time because there were always other more important things to do.
May be in the future, but don't hold your breath in the meantime.
