I had the venture to do the same experience and I enjoyed to have the american that joined 7 other Italian, but I understand your point.
Anyway, as long as I know, they are thinking to "passworded leagues", but at the same time they have to fix several bugs. Some day they will do this addition, before that day accept what they offer you: leagues with surprise.
