Of course I can't speak for the webmasters, but the way I interpret the league rules is that
you need to score at least 15% more points based on the score of the top-scorer (and not based on the second as in your example).
That means:
Since the top-scorer (you) has scored 80Pts in order to receive the "best pilot" award would need
to score at least 12 Pts more than the second
best (80 * 0.15). With 82 Pts you would have received the "best pilot" point.
Maybe this can be confirmed by the webmasters?
