I agree with you. I just quit expecting historical accuracy from hollywood a long time ago.... 
that is, unless a movie is bound to become a small audience cult, then historical accuracy has a small chance to prevail over unhistorical grandeur...
For the moment we saw a love story, lots of red fokkers diving at wing tearing speed, pilot machism over a drink, nieuport tie fighters, a "Fuel tank hit - Plane explodes" red chit in action, at least one collision and one kamikaze downing a zep.... no cult movie here.. a good, fast, enjoyable movie perhaps, but certanly not a historical doc... 
We'll wait and see at the end of september..... |
