Blue Max Point Values
Point values are based on the following: - Multi player games of 6 or more - Standard map size - Standard or Advanced Games (games where there is tailing)
PLANES (Entente)
100 Sopwith Snipe 080 S.E.5a 075 Bristol F.2B 060 Spad XIII 050 Nieuport 28 040 Sopwith Triplane 030 Sopwith Camel 025 Spad VII 020 Nieuport 17
PLANES (Central Powers)
95 SS D III/IV 75 Fokker D VII 60 Halberstadt CL IIa 55 Pfalz D. XII 55 Albatros D.VA 40 Pfalz D.IIIa 35 Albatros D.III 35 Fokker Dr.I 20 Siemens-Schuckert D.I
Reasons: Sopwith Snipe – top dog Spad XIII – exact same plane as Pfalz D. XII, but it has Speed 4 moves. Albatros D.Va – Although 10 less fuel than the Pfalz D. XII, it has 4 more Speed 1 & 2 maneuvers Nieuport 28 – same plane as the D.Va, but with only 6 engine and 5 tail it doesn’t hold up as well in the long game. S.E.5a – In a multi-player game, the stable gun platform and extra fuel give it a slight edge over the nimble D. VII. Pfalz D.IIIa – Yes, it’s a fun plane, but in the big games it can’t chase and it can’t run… but at least it isn’t a camel. Fokker D.I – Another good 1 on 1, or 2 on 2 plane… but in the 5 on 5 world it can’t take the damage, can’t dish it out, and can’t last long unless the battle comes to them. Albatros D.III / Dr.1 / Camel – The stats don’t lie… the camel sucks in large games (look it up yourself).
It is probably impossible to ever get everyone to agree to the relative point values, but...
The Dr.I can take more damage and shoots harder (at range 2-3) than the Tripe. Just looking at the stats shows that the Dr.I beats the Tripe more often than not.
So if the Tripe is 40 points, the Dr.I should be at least 41.
The D.IIIa should be worth more than both the Dr.I and the Tripe.
And the difference between the SPAD XIII and D.XII is not really worth a 8% difference in points - it should be maybe 1 or 2 points! |
