I have found some recent comments on piloting skills and maneuver selections in one game um, how should I say, unnerving? Are the comments in the games not moderated?
I'm a big boy and can take the snide remark. I made a stupid choice in a game. I deserve being shot down. Nature of the beast and all. Also, as many of you can attest, I 've made stupid moves before, I'll do it again. But I feel these comments are unwarranted. I would never say such things as we all make mistakes. These thoughts should be kept to oneself. Bask in the glory of shooting down an opponent, but to tell him he was stupid in the process is VERY POOR FORM.
Any one else agree? Disagree?

Impailer, the comment was mine.
A few remarks:
What I wrote (I went there to check it) was exactly:
"A genius of looping... When people will stop doing silly restricted in BM?"
I do not think it as particularly arsh or offensive. I was simply questioning your skill in the game. Boy, it's a game, nothing serious, it's part of the fun to laugh about moves other people do and to get laughed at for the poor ones you did. And I usually do it also when playing face to face (this one just to answer grief

remark), expecting to be treated exactly the same way.
Said that, I realize also there is some kind of cultural gap here, I have found many times that US people are by far more sensitive to this kind of jokes and that their threshold for finding something harassing is far lower then the one for western european guys. Therefore I apologize if I caused you any serious discomfort, this was not my intention.
But take it cool, be a grown up boy play the game and try to shot me down from the skyes next time we met. Then you will be welcomed to point out how stupid I have been...

cheers
Ashtar
P.S.
The reason for which loops while being tailed are slightly more successful when performed with a runner and not with a dancer is that in that case you move anyhow one hex forward. Then the guy chasing you has to wonder if getting close risking tp be shot from distance 0 if you stall or if to stay at a safer larger distance.
But loops are anyhow bad the second worst thing you can do after stalling, trust me...

Hi Ashtar, I agree that comments such as the one you made, and the tone it would be made in, would have been taken as joking with fellow players during a face to face match. The body language and tone are hard to get across on the internet and at times what you mean and how you mean it does not come across.
Now that I know the spirit your comments were made in it does not look bad. Hopefully there are no hard feelings.
Cheers,
