I play Blue Max because it mixes my love of WWI aircraft, gaming, and static model building all into one. I was just curious if there were any other loonies out there that play the game for the appreciation of these aircraft. I dare ask, any model builders in our midsts (static or flying)?

Nope, your not alone in the loony world. I too am a fan of history and WW1 aircraft. I also play Blue Max in my club using a large sheet with hexes on it and 1:72 models on stands (that adjust for altitude). I also build static planes for show and I put in a lot more work into these than my gaming models. For static displays, I build both 1:72 and 1:48 scale WW1 planes. I'm thining of doing a 1:35 scale but I think I will wait until I move.
I'm also a Napoleonic fan (gaming and static displays). But what I have said above is more than enough to get me committed I think
For the record though, studies show that people with healthy hobbies (and building detailed models as well as historical gamin are listed as some) are less likely to go nutts in a bad way.
