Okay okay, I'm very much convinced now that Blue Max is more a game of Luck than Skill. No need to keep convincing me now. Check out: http://www.youplay.it/play/bm_GameMove.asp?GameID=167432Still, if a player knows the little nuances of the game it sure helps. So if you are very lucky in these games and have a good grasp of how to play Blue Max and understand most of the nuances, then you will be a menace in the skies. And if you are unlucky in these games and have a good grasp of how to play Blue Max and understand the nuances, then you will be a victim (or dead meat). C&B
Actually, this reminds me of a story my friend Hans Johansohn likes to tell. The details are a bit sketchy, but it goes something like this…..Many years ago, Hans and another of his friends were playing against each other in a miniatures wargame at a convention. At a critical stage of the game, a charge goes in. It’s Hans’ Austrians versus Gary’s(?) French. The dice are rolled. Hans rolls very bad; Gary rolls very good; and the Austrians are swept from the field. Whereupon a bystander watching the game is heard to comment to another bystander, “The French player is obviously a MUCH better player than the Austrian player.”
What can I say, C&B, except that Lawtygrr is obviously a MUCH better player than you! |
