I was in a phase where I flew any and all Camels available. It takes constant practice for me, but it can be a good weapon even against Fok DVIIs. I'll go out on a limb. I'm particularly proud of this game: http://www.youplay.it/play/bm_GameMove.asp?GameID=129894I also like N17s in almost any scenario. However, I HATE SSW DIIIs and Snipes. I must be too simple minded to fly them. SLM I agree with your sentiment; I enjoy flying 28s, even in scenarios with D7s and SS. I like SEs too, but find flying Snipes less interesting - it seems that with Snipes and SSs, there are so many possible moves that luck plays a bigger part. But maybe that's because I'm not very good yet... SirFrancis
I like the SS D3/4, but I also really like the SS D1, Pfalz D3, and Fokker D3. I dislike the Snipe, Fokker D7, and I absolutely loathe the Camel. Does that make me honorable, average, or a total moron? And what are the standards for being a predator vs. just enjoying playing?
I'm not entirely sure what your point is. Everyone has personal prefernces for planes they like.
The point I am making is that in my opinion too many top players play almost exclusively those planes that are most likely to garner victory. To scrabble for the Snipes and SSs but refuse to enter games flying those planes less likely to acheive vicroy is less than admirable.
Given that most scenarios have unequal planes, it seems more sporting for the experienced players to play the lesser planes.
That said, many experienced players do so, and these are the truly great players - they also tend to be the same ones who are friendly and willing to help the less experienced learn. More power to 'em!
