Was pretty neat. Instructions were a little light, so it took a few rounds to understand the moves and stuff, but by the end of the game I figured most of it out.
(none of the below are criticisms, its great work, just suggestions.)
I wasn't entirely clear on placement at first. I suppose you always want to obtain a new German Armored unit, but there might be a time when you want to choose what type of new unit to get. I was annoyed that there was no way to 'stack' a new Russian unit in a controlled city if there was a unit already there. Maybe you can move before placement somehow? Because if you leave it open, then the enemy just steps in. So I usually had to place the new Russian units on the Eastern edge.
I would like to see a "dialog" box of what was "rolled" during each combat.
At first I thought this was going to be easy for the Germans, just roll the German Armor into Moscow, but the hordes of Russians easily defeated them. Perhaps make the Russian reinforcements much weaker than the initial troops. Or vice-versa, with weak initial units and strong reinforcements. Or, just make the Russian units weaker overall. They don't get armor, but even still, there were so many of them.
If you could stack units (combine strengths of units) then that would give the Germans more of a chance.
I need to play again and be more conservative with the Germans, but I still can't see how they could win with all those Russian reinforcements.
Perhaps allow German armor to BlitzKrieg? If they win a battle, allow them to advance into that spot then battle again?
Support rules would be neat. Add Air and Artillery (allowed only a few times during the game?)
Look forward to the next revision!
