Its very simple - do nothing and its just like before the update. However, you can give yourself a +1 at 1,2,3 hexes or +2 at 0 hexes addition on the combat table by choosing long burst. The interface allows you to specify at the 4 firing ranges whether you wish to choose long or stay with medium. There is a 33% chance your guns will jam on long bursts. If this happens, you have to do a straight move to attempt to unjam them - and there is a 50% chance of this happening.
