I agree with gugliandalf of his points. For myself, being an ACE is to know
a. when to use Speed 3/4, Long Burst, Stall, stay
b. Even Engine is broken, stay long enough to help teammate.
b. and most important when to 'leave' to keep u for the next mission.

P.S. In basic/normal/advance rules, there is no single rule said you must stay in the board until fuel empty for sportmanship, don't we?

These aren't campaign games. Perhaps there could be two formats where people wish to do everything in their power to preserve their planes and the current version. However, given the lack of incentive to this end, the system is subject to leave before I lose the lead and therefore game.
