Since the only factor that influence the quantity of damage added by the long burst is distance, we came up with this solution. Keep in mind that we need to have a simple and fast criteria to decide the burst length. Yes we imagined an interface in which you can say: long only if: stalled or tailed and fired last turn or if jammed, tailed and smoking or tailed, stalled previous turn, fired by another player previous turn, tailing a friend during this turn, made a 3S2 or 14L2, distance 2 or etc. etc.
sound quite complicated even for the best players around to use it.
Keep it simple, keep it fast.
Base table sounds better than range to me...
Range 1 might not be so hot if you're going speed 3 and firing with deflection, while range 2 might look good if you're tailing and have fired.
(Stability C gives table 5 first case, table 6 in the second! You could even get table 5 at range 3 if the target stalls!).
Choices would be:
Short burst: (automatic) Medium burst: (choose value 0-15) Long burst: (choose value 0-15) |
