As you can check, I had posted just to clarify the situation from the linguistic point of view. I wasn't making fun of your name or requesting for a change in the account's name.
Since you are a newbie, you probably need to know that there have been lots of players creating accounts with funny names, and not only in English. Popes' names were usurped. WWI aces' names were usurped. U.S. presidents' names were usurped. Some players are offended, and some just make fun of it. You have to take into account that this is a game site, and playful/juvenile people from all ages participate. To this, you must add the fact that maybe only 1% of the players use their real names as usernames. Supposing yours is an invented name was natural for just this reason. (I myself made a small gaffe on takeAplay when I assumed a player had a nickname inspired by a tv series.)
So all this happened because players were sure this wasn't your real name. I am sure no-one of the YouPlayers would have made fun of your name in another situation... even though I believe that there are a few other players who are ex-marines here...
